There never was a “Yes” vote in Catalonia but vote-rigging and a complete charade.
While the Catalan government, led by non-elected President Carles Puigdemont (he was finger pointed by the former President), go to great lengths claiming the majority “Yes” vote in a referendum on independence, the naked truth is that there never was such a “Yes” vote in Catalonia. In fact, no poll took place on 1 October in the teeth of a Spanish court ban as their propaganda claims. There never were any census and polls at all, except fraud and massive corruption in poll counting and shameful vote-rigging. A mirage dramatised and fit for a fanatic capaudience such as the secessionists are. With no real registration, a swarm of enthusiasts could vote as many times as they wanted at different places. Some organisers went as far as putting up ballot boxes already stuffed with “Yes” vote ballots in the fake and illegal polling stations.
The shameful pack of lies spread by the secessionist’s propaganda and orchestrated by the Catalonian government is overwhelming. And unfortunately, it has reached outside the borders of Catalonia. Their clockwork monkeys are dominant in a non-free subsidised media. In this arena, no wonder disinformation is the dominant issue on the subject. The truth is that no nation-state in his mind would ever permit the split of the nation. Spain is a unity by the uses, practices and customs and historical events that shape the nation. Nationality has nothing to do with the willingness of the citizens.
For nationalists, nationality has to do with their will because they invent their utopic non-existent nation based on a dreamt-up enemy, Spain in this case; and they want it for free. The ban came from the force of law, a decent prohibition because they were trying to split Spain. Those issues had nothing to do with cases such as the Canadia or Scottish secessionist demands, as the Catalan propaganda defended. Nationalisms have more to do with the unlimited use of power: pure fascism, though they claim to be peaceful people in defence of freedom. Nationalists may not even know that nationalism roots and development are fascist, and may also believe that the fascists, as they call them, are the Patriots. But as de Gaulle once put it: “Patriotism is when the love of your people comes first; nationalism, when hate for people other than your own comes first”. Hatred for Spain is the poison spread through many years in Catalonia and cast to the powerless as nationalism took over all the mainstream of the political institutions and part of the industrial ones as well.
So, there definitely never was a “Yes” vote in Catalonia. Only vote-rigging and a complete charade. And indeed, the propaganda of “faithful, honest elections in Catalonia” to split Spain has unfortunately reached outside the borders of Catalonia. Their clockwork monkeys are dominant of a non-free subsidized media. In this arena, no truth may never come out. The sham in Catalonia`s society is a very self-destructive and serious one: it marks the limits between patriots and fascists. The poison has split families, friends, co-workers and neighbours. Now, you have a broader scope to judge all the lies that you will come across in the media about the “poor people of Catalonia.” There are victims indeed in Catalonia, but not the nationalists.
